Owensboro girls soccer put on an offensive showcase against Breckinridge County to snap its four-game losing streak.

The Lady Devils came flying out of the gates, playing aggressive and looking to set the tone for the match.

They did just that, finding the back of the net a plethora of times to take a 4-0 lead going into halftime.

Breckinridge County had no answer for Owensboro’s offensive onslaught, as they were unable to overcome its deficit.

They couldn’t find the back of the net in the second half and the Lady Devils were able to score once again to take a 5-0 victory at home.

Sophomore Sydney Lovett led the way with four goals on the evening, while Senior JaNyiah Wimberly provided the remaining goal for Owensboro.

Junior Chandler Worth recorded two saves in the game, while recording her fifth shutout of the season.

The win moves Owensboro to 6-6 on the season and they will look to make it two straight when they take on Muhlenberg County at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
