Madisonville-North Hopkins offense overpowers Aces

Owensboro Catholic boys soccer couldn’t thwart the Madisonville-North Hopkins offense on Monday, falling 5-2.

Madisonville-North Hopkins ripped 22 shots on the day, putting 10 on goal. Meanwhile, the Aces had 11 shots and put nine on goal.

Freshman Logan Terry led the way for the Maroons finishing with a pair of goals, while senior Caden Crowell, freshman Eli Redpath and junior JJ Brown. Brown also dished out an assist, while sophomore Maverick Peyton tied for the team-lead with Terry as they both recorded two assists.

Junior Austin Martin and sophomore Brody Martin provided the lone goals for Owensboro Catholic. 

Brody had an assist on the night along with junior Caleb Ward. Defensively, junior Parker Jones was working at the net, recording five saves on the night.

The loss moves Owensboro Catholic to 3-7-1 overall on the season and they will look to bounce back when they take on Frankfort in the Final Eight of All A State at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
