Lady Aces bounce back with strong performance at home

Owensboro Catholic grabbed a dominant win on Monday, grabbing a three-set sweep over Webster County.

The Lady Aces came out and set the tone for the match in the first, grabbing the win by a score of 25-11.

Owensboro Catholic carried that momentum into the second set, with a little deja vu leading to a 25-11 second-set win. 

The following set the Lady Aces were on fire once again, defeating Webster County 25-12 to grab the match 3-0.

Senior Cate Sights led the way offensively, recording 12 kills. She also recorded four aces, falling behind only sophomore Kennedy Murphy who finished with six.

Murphy also led the way in the passing department, dishing out 17 assists while junior Paige Miles recorded 11.

Senior Emily Christian was her usual self all night covering the floor, finishing the game with a team-leading 20 digs.

Owensboro Catholic now sits at 22-10 on the season overall and will look to grab back-to-back wins when it takes on Owensboro at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
