While the 18-hole competition was rescheduled for June 30, there was plenty of action from local golfers in the GO Junior Golf Series event at the Henderson Country Club.
Briley Billingsely led the competition, grabbing first place in the six-holes 9-10 girls division with a score of 24. Kennedi Minton followed right behind in second place with a score of 27.
Colby Vanover led the way on the boys side, finishing second in the nine-holes 11-12 boys division with a score of 43. Andrew Powell was on Vanover’s tail, finishing in third with a score of 47.
Willie Bushong and Hudson Brasher was the other lone competitor out of Owensboro, finishing fifth with a score of 36 in the six-holes 9-10 boys division and third with a 20 in the three-holes eight-under boys division respectively.
The GO Junior Golf Series will continue after a day off at the Madisonville Country Club on Friday, June 17.
