GO Junior Golf Series: Windridge Country Club

While it was a shortened round due to rain, a number of local golfers represented Owensboro well with a number of top-three finishers at Windridge Country Club on Monday.

There were a pair of first-place finishes from Owensboro, including John Carson Malone (18) in the three-hole boys eight-under division and Colby Vanover (47) in the boys 11-12 division. Andrew Powell grabbed second behind Vanover with a 51, while Hudson Brasher finished behind in third place with an 18.

Jax Malone grabbed second 18-hole 16-18 division with a 37, while Will Rickard (40) and John William Wathen (42) grabbed second and third in the boys 13-15 division for 18 holes. Willie Bushong rounded out the boys competitors, finishing third in the six-hole 9-10 boys division with a 31.

Claire Reynolds led the way amongst the girls divisions, specifically 16-18 where she grabbed first with an 80. Annalee Yager was two spots behind her with a 95, Baylie Billingsley grabbed second in the 18-hole 13-15 girls division with a 103.

The GO Junior Golf Series will pick right back up on Wednesday, June 8, as they will compete at Central City Country Club.
