Lady Aces grab gold in 4×100 relay, tie for 20th at state

While Owensboro Catholic may not have had the strongest showing at the 1A State Track Meet, they were able to walk away with first in the girls 4×100 relay.

It was a quartet of Carol Staples, Maleigha Shelton, Mallary Bailey and Emilee Ceical that got the job done, finishing first in the 4×100 relay with a time of 51.89. This narrowly defeated Bishop Brossart and Fort Campbell, as they posted times of 52.16 and 52.76 respectively.

Mallary Bailey also grabbed a top-10 finish in girls 100 meter hurdles, grabbing eighth with a time of 17.16. Her efforts in both events helped the Lady Aces finish tied for 20th out of 43 teams with 11 points total.
