GO Junior Golf Series: Henderson Country Club

Local golfers represented Owensboro very well at the Henderson Country Club on Thursday, as there were four first-place finishes in the GO Junior Golf Series.

Players only competed in the 18-hole divisions on Thursday, with Girls and Boys 13-15 and 16-18 divisions hitting the links. 

Will Hume grabbed first in the Boys 13-15 division, shooting a 79 while Owensboro’s Walker Gaddis placed fourth overall with an 89. John William Wathen finished in sixth with a 100, while Jackson Komarek finished ninth with a 121.

Jax Malone earned first in the Boys 16-18 division, shooting a 71 to beat second place by four strokes and third by 13 strokes. Owensboro had one other competitor in the division, as Noah Newton placed ninth with a 99.

Claire Reynolds shot an 83 to grab first in the Girls 16-18 division, while RC Porter grabbed fourth with a 105. Conleigh Osborne finished tied for fifth, shooting a 108 on the day.

Baylie Billinglsey earned first in the Girls 13-15 division, shooting a 97 while Hannah Robbins placed third with a 110. Chloe Calitri placed fourth (113), Lanie Ann Osborne placed fifth (114), Marley Baize placed seventh (122) and Addison Byrne rounded out the competition in eighth (128).

The GO Junior Golf Series will have a few days off before its next event, as golfers will be able to compete at Lakeshore Country Club in Madisonville, Kentucky, on July 5.
