The Lady Panthers ended their regular season on a high note after they had a big 61-36 win on the road over Butler County.
Lily Hoagland had a big first quarter to get the game started as she scored 14 points early on to help DCHS lead 22-7. Daviess County’s defense held Butler to 7 points again in the second quarter while they extended their lead to 37-14 by halftime. Zoey Beehn had 8 points in the third quarter to contribute to DC’s 18 points. They closed out the win at 61-36
Hoagland led the Lady Panthers in scoring with 2 threes and 7 of 7 on free throws as part of her 23 points. Briley Henry made 3 threes to go with her 12 points, and Beehn scored 11 on the night as well.
This win brought Daviess County’s regular season record to an impressive 21-7. The Lady Panthers will take to the court again for the District Tournament where they will face Owensboro at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26.
