Daviess County’s Clair Reynolds won her second invitational of the year, firing off a 74 in the Lady Scottie Invitational on Thursday. The Lady Panthers placed in the tournament as a team.

Baylie and Briley Billingsley added an 83 and 82, respectively, while Macey Roberts shot a 107 to round out the top four.

“Outside of the hot day, I couldn’t be happier with our team,” said head coach Jonas Billingsley. “Each one of these athletes continues to improve each time they go out. Claire and Bailey are so consistent. They all hold themselves to a high standard.”

Alexa Salamah returns to action for the Lady Panthers on Tuesday, and Billingsley is excited about what she could bring to the team.

“I’m super excited to see Alexa join us for her first tournament,” he said. “We have three of the top players in the state. Adding Alexa is huge, and Macey helps us round out a solid top five that can compete at the state level.”

Last week, the Lady Panthers competed in the South Warren Invitational at Park Mammoth Golf Club, where they fired off a third-place overall finish.

Baylie Billingsley led the way with a 73 and third-place overall finish, followed by Reynolds with a 78, Briley an 83, and Roberts with a 107.

Last week, the squad won its home opener at The Pearl Club and the Trigg County Invitational.
