McLean County 7, Butler County 3
With players back from injury and able to substitute, the Lady Cougars were able to stay refreshed throughout the game, and that showed in their 7-3 road win over Butler County. Landry Humphrey had an astounding five goals and added two assists, while Katie McCoy finished with two goals and two assists. Keeper Emily LeBlanc recorded three saves.
“It was a total team effort tonight,” McLean County head coach Ricky Humphrey said. “Our offense played extremely well and our defense held them to only six shots on goal. We finally have substitutes now so we are able to finish out games. Our midfield players controlled the pace and keyed our attack throughout the game.”
