Trailing 2-0 at the half, the Lady Devils who were playing shorthanded could not keep up, falling 6-2 to Greenwood. Lily Nieman scored both goals, with Ella Hall assisting on the first. Goalie Drew Kurz finished with 18 saves.
“We were down players today and got tired in the second half, having to play girls in different positions,” Owensboro head coach Sarah Poole said. “Greenwood is a strong team and we were unable to hold them up for quite a bit of the game.”
