Owensboro took down Greenwood in a shootout, while Daviess County fell to Bowling Green.

Bowling Green 3, Daviess County 0

Starting in goal, Cooper Payne finished with two saves in the Panthers’ 3-0 loss to Bowling Green. Noah Mason took over in net in the final 15 minutes, recording one save.

“We played well in moments throughout the game, but couldn’t string enough of those moments together,” Daviess County Head Coach Dale Armistead said. “Bowling Green did a good job of moving the ball tonight.”

Owensboro 5, Greenwood 4

Peter Mbayo scored twice and added an assist in the Red Devils’ 5-4 win over Greenwood. Brian Payne, Jackson Sigler, and Denis Juma all scored, while Max Knoop recorded an assist.

Owensboro took an early 2-1 lead, and from there the two teams exchanged goals, heading into halftime up 5-4.

“Offensively, I thought we were brilliant,” Owensboro Head Coach Ryan Haley said. “Defensively, I would like to see us a little more comfortable on the back line. We allowed a PK goal, and allowed them too many looks at our keeper. We made some adjustments at halftime, tightening up our formation to minimize the opponent’s opportunities. Overall, I’m happy with the result, proud of my guys, and ready to look toward Daviess County on Thursday.”
