Daviess County finished 0-1-1 in their double header, while Owensboro Catholic shut out Evansville Day School.

Daviess County finishes 0-1-1 in double header

Competing in the DC Electric Lady Marshall Classic, Daviess County drew with University Heights 2-2 and fell to Marshall County 4-0. Bella Coombs and Mack Elliot both scored off of assists from Fiona Baughn and Nar Evelyn Wiman. Kaelin Labhart had six saves against University Heights and 12 against Marshall County.

“It was our best soccer today,” Daviess County Head Coach Paige Crisp said. “We played two solid teams and made some mistakes that we can’t afford to make against good competition. We’ll use it as a learning experience and regroup before our next few games.”

Owensboro Catholic 6, Evansville Day School 0

Chloe Marston scored twice, while Allie Marston, Jenna Brey, Ireland Quinn, and Lila Helwig all found the back of the net in the Lady Aces 6-0 win over Evansville Day School.

“The girls played great,” Owensboro Catholic Head Coach Meg Patton said. “They were able to switch the field several times, which in turn gave us many chances for through balls. We connected passes well, and it was all around a great team performance.”
