The iTumble and Bounce gymnastics team had a strong showing at the “Jungle Tumble” Kentucky state meet last weekend, securing a full roster qualification for the national championships.
Following performances in Morehead, every athlete on the iTumble and Bounce squad met the requirements to advance to nationals this summer in Madison, Wisconsin.
The team was led by four first-place finishers who secured top honors in their respective divisions:
- Anna Ramsey
- Kenley Dorroh
- Henzlee Murphy
- Chloe Shivers
The team also got second-place finishes from Zoey Gray, Hayden Phillips, Isabelle Ramsey, Emma Rhodes (2), Sadie Barnett, Catherine Mayfield, Dorroh, and Shivers.
Third-place finishes went to Amari Quisenberry (3), Lennox Gentry, Nora Schroeder, Ramsey, Emma Rhodes, Murphy, Barnett, Nolie Wilson, Hillary Evans, and Catherine Mayfield.
“That kind of across-the-board success doesn’t happen by accident,” Coach Renee King said. “It’s built on ongoing practices, supportive teammates, and a shared commitment to getting better every single day.”
Individual accolades extended beyond the weekend’s specific routines. Barnett was named a Kentucky All-Star for her performance in novice tumbling. The honor recognizes Barnett’s cumulative scores and consistency throughout the entire competitive season.
With the regional phase concluded and the national bid secured, iTumble and Bounce now shifts its focus to postseason preparation.
