Daviess County outlasted McLean County in an important 3rd Region game, while Owensboro and Trinity (Whitesville) both won.
Daviess County 11, McLean County 5
Blake Huff went 3-4 with three RBIs to power the Panthers past McLean County 11-5. Caden Embry scored twice and went 2-4, and Nolan Johnson and Logan Mason both drove in a pair of runs. Ben Watkins struck out six and allowed four earned runs over six innings, and John Rue pitched one inning in relief.
For the Cougars, Kaysen Bozarth went 1-3 with two RBIs, Jayden Taylor finished 2-4 with two RBIs, and Layden Bozarth went 2-4 with an RBI. Nash Lee allowed two earned runs over two innings, and Brooks Lynam, Kaysen Bozarth, and Taylor all pitched in relief.
Owensboro 11, Henderson County 1
Tied 1-1 entering the bottom of the sixth, the Red Devils scored 10 runs as they went on to beat Henderson County 11-1. Aiden Klee and Jordan Quesnell combined for three hits and four RBIs, and Eli Hampton went 2-2. Dathan Hinton threw a complete game on the mound, striking out eight and allowing one run over six innings.
Trinity (Whitesville) 5, Union County 3
Grant Howard was dominant on the mound, allowing two earned runs over seven innings to power the Raiders past Union County 5-3. Harrison Barnett went 2-4 with an RBI, Keaton Abbott went 1-3 with three RBIs, and Howard finished 1-3 with an RBI.
