Apollo sweeps doubleheader
Traveling to Jack Fisher Park, the E-Gals swept their doubleheader, beating Franklin Simpson 10-3 and Marshall County 17-5. Against Franklin Simpson, Mollie Julian threw a complete game, striking out 10 and allowing one earned run over five innings. In their win over Marshall County, Tyler Hall homered, Keelan Wettstain drove in four, and Reice Coomes finished 2-3 with three RBIs.
North Hardin 20, Owensboro 2
Sydney Stallings hit a two-run homer and Haley Sikes went 1-2 as the Lady Devils lost to North Hardin 20-2.
Owensboro Catholic 4, Notre Dame 1
The Lady Aces struck first in the bottom of the first thanks to Lily Logsdon’s two-run double as they went on to beat Notre Dame 4-1. Logsdon finished 2-3 with two RBIs, and Carley Brey went 2-3 with an RBI. Abi Murphy threw a complete game in the circle, allowing one earned run over six innings, striking out three.
