Owensboro Catholic 6, Apollo 2

The Lady Aces drew first blood in the bottom of the first inning behind Taylor Clark’s two-run triple and never looked back, beating Apollo 6-2. Clark finished 2-3 with two RBIs, Lily Logsdon finished 2-3, and Addilyn Simmons, Ava Mudd, and Abi Murphy all drove in runs. Evelyn Chelstrom threw a complete game in the circle, allowing one earned run over seven innings.

Daviess County 11, Heritage Hills 1

It took the Lady Panthers only five batters to take an early 1-0 lead – a bases-loaded walk to Briley Henry. From there, Daviess County’s offense poured it on, beating Heritage Hills 11-1. Shelby Bennett went 3-3 with three RBIs, Callie Smith drove in three runs, and Brylyn Boswell and Annie Newmna both had a pair of hits. Storey Hume was dominant in the circle, allowing one run and striking out seven over six innings.
