This weekend, the Little League Baseball season started for the majority of the DC All Stars and Southern All-Stars.
Daviess County 10u All Stars finish weekend 1-1
DC dropped their opener to BG East 12-0, but bounced back to beat Logan County All Stars 9-1. In their win, Brooks Embry finished 1-3 with two RBIs, and Trenton Berry, Coleman Hale, and Ezra Allen all drove in runs. On the mound, Allen, Henry Brown, and Everett Isbill combined for 10 strikeouts over six shutout innings.
Daviess County LL 11U AllStars 9, Warren North All Stars 11U 1
Daviess County jumped out to a 5-0 first-inning lead and never looked back, beating Warren North 9-1. Jay Millay doubled twice and drove in two runs, while Clark Hall finished 3-3 with three RBIs. Millay started on the mound, allowing one earned run over four innings, striking out four, while Easton Robertson pitched two shutout innings in relief.
Owensboro Southern LL 10u All Stars 5, Hopkinsville 4
Southern LL 11u All Stars off to 2-0 start
Owensboro Southern is off to a hot start as they beat BG East 9-4 and Logan County 11U All Stars 11-5. Against BG East, Jackson Phelan and William Hagan combined for four hits and four RBIs, while Henry Osowicz went 3-3. In their win over Logan County, Levi Flaherty and Kiptyn Mayfield combined for four hits and four RBIs.
WCSLL 12s 3, Owensboro Southern LL 12U All-Stars 1
Southern Little League jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, but couldn’t hold onto the lead down the stretch, falling 3-1. John Blair drove in the team’s lone run, while Haddon Brooks and Aaron Higdon both had hits.
