While families usually set out cookies for Santa Claus, downtown businesses are offering “Santa’s Sweets” this weekend for patrons to enjoy some desserts as part of Owensboro’s Hometown Christmas events.
On Friday and Saturday, 10 businesses throughout downtown are offering sweets ranging from cookies to cakes. Some restaurants also include a martini for Santa’s older crowd.
The participating locations and their special treats include:
- The Brew Bridge: Santa’s Skillet Cookie
- Holiday Inn Riverfront: Mason Jar S’Mores
- Owensboro Convention Center: Jumbo Sugar Cookie Sandwich
- Lure Seafood & Grille: Mandarin Carrot Spice Cake with Chai Frosting
- SIP Owensboro: Red Wine Brownies
- Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville: Santa’s Cheesecake Bites
- Mellow Mushroom: Cookie & Brownie Sundaes
- The Creme Coffee House: Peppermint Lava Cake & Layered Red Velvet Cake
- The Pub on Second: Bourbon Ball Martini
- Famous Bistro: Peppermint Bark
