Panthers finish strong at Storm Flyer Classic

The Kentucky Wesleyan Women’s Bowling team competed in the Lewis Storm Flyer Classic this weekend, taking 11th out of 20 teams with a 10-game average of 179.8. 

Wesleyan knocked over a total of 11,870 pins en-route to their 11th place finish. They bowled three rounds over 900, including a a 990 in triad match 2. 

Along with taking 11th as a team, the Panthers had some strong individual performances as well. Corynne Bean tallied a five-game average of 186.8, including a final game of 214. This put her in 32nd out of 188 bowlers. Daylin Tolgo finished just behind her in 35th place, bowling a team-high game of 233 in her second game and finishing with an average of 184.4. Miranda Cain knocked over 895 pins to take 45th with an average of 179.00. 

Samantha Bugno bowled four games and came through with an average of 170.25, including a game-high 211 in her fourth game. Despite only bowling three games, Lauren Meagher bowled extremely well, bowling games of 211-224-142 to finish with an average of 192.33. Alysa Conley bowled the final three games and came through with an average of 173.33. 

Wesleyan will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Jonesboro, Arkansas, for the Arkansas State Mid-Winter Invitational.
