The Lady Panthers went 2-1 to close out the weekend, winning against Pendleton County and Ryle in a pair of no-hitters while falling to Cooper 13-11.
Daviess County took on Pendleton County on Friday first and grabbed the lead early, getting a leadoff double from freshman Annie Newman with an RBI single from senior Kaydence Hamilton to follow. Meanwhile Roby was locked in, striking out 14 and being a team error away from a perfect game in the 1-0 win.
Roby tallied another no-hitter in the game against Ryle that the Lady Panthers won 9-0 on Saturday, while falling to Cooper 13-11 in the game prior. Daviess County improves to 9-2 overall following the pair of wins, now looking ahead to a home district matchup with Apollo at 5:30 on Tuesday, April 11.
