The Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission is polling the community regarding their new comprehensive plan that will replace the one that’s currently 5 years old. Surveys will be accepted through July 30.
OMPC Director Brad Howard said that during this period, residents could contact the office to discuss, answer questions, or take the survey to help the Commission decide their goals.
The survey prompts the person to indicate whether they live in Owensboro, Whitesville, or Daviess County. Then they are asked questions about their community.
From there, Howard said the survey covers goals and priorities in several areas, including economy and employment, land use, and public facilities.
Howard said it would likely be September before the OMPC and City Commission each review the plan.
