Apollo kept things close for a quarter but Bowling Green proved to be too much as the Purples rolled past the visiting Eagles 57-7 on Friday.
The lone Apollo (0-4) touchdown came on a 1-yard run by quarterback Max Johnson with 4:59 left in the first quarter. That notched the game at 7-7, but Bowling Green (2-2) needed just over a minute to reach the end zone again.
The Purples added four more touchdowns in the second quarter, plus a 2-point conversion, to extend their lead to 43-7 by halftime. They notched two more touchdowns in the third quarter to round at the scoring.
Apollo returns home next week and will try to get their first win of the season against Central Hardin (2-2).
