Boys’ soccer recap (Sept. 9): OHS, DCHS, OCHS

Owensboro and Daviess County both picked up a pair of losses in the Colonel Classic and the Elliott Wells Classic respectively. OHS lost to Cooper 0-1 in their first match. Owensboro Catholic picked up a win at home against Christian County.

OCHS 1, Christian County 0

The Aces won 1-0 in a home match against Christian County. The lone goal was a penalty kick converted by Owen Brey. Goalkeeper Ben Dawson had five saves in the match. 

OHS 1, West Jessamine 2

OHS lost to West Jessamine in their second match of the Colonel Classic. The Red Devils’ lone goal was scored by Miles Baur from an assist by Arlo Johnson. Goalkeeper Landon Black had five saves during the match.

DCHS 1, Butler 2

DCHS lost their first match of the Elliott Wells Classic 1-2 against Butler. Saw Mu scored the Panthers’ only goal, and goalkeeper Connor Johnson had five saves.

DCHS 0, Paul Dunbar 3

The Panthers lost their second match against Paul Dunbar 0-3. Goalkeeper Connor Johnson had eight saves during the match.
