McLean County cruised past Butler County, while a shorthanded Owensboro lost at home.
McLean County 7, Butler County 0
Landry Humphrey scored five goals in the Lady Cougars 7-0 win over Butler County. Lily Miller and Hannah Smith both had a goal and an assist, while Ana Rivera had one assist.
“It was good to get back in the win column after a loss and a tie,” McLean County Head Coach Ricky Humphrey said. We need to build off of this game moving forward. The girls are playing well together, and we are looking forward to the second half of the season.’
Evansville Central 5, Owensboro 3
Missing several players, Owensboro was unable to beat Evansville Central, falling 5-3. Lily Neiman scored twice and had an assist, while Amelia Calhoun had a goal and an assist. Adalyn Selby also had an assist, while Drew Kurz had six saves in net.
“We played well the last 20 minutes of the game, once we figured a few things out with the players that we had,” Owensboro Head Coach Sarah Poole said.
