Hosting 14 other high schools as part of their 2026 Apollo Invitational, Apollo’s boys’ varsity team finished third, and their girls’ team was fifth. Warren East won the boys’ competition, while Tell City won the girls.
AHS: Finishing third in both the boys’ and girls’ varsity competitions with scores of 76 and 65, Apollo won the girls’ 4x200m relay and were second in the 4×100. The top finishers for Apollo included:

DCHS: The Lady Panthers varsity team landed on the podium with a third-place finish after scoring 99 points, while the Panthers were sixth (53). The top finishers for Daviess County included:

HCHS: The Lady Hornets placed sixth after scoring 53 points, and the Hornets were 10th (39). Hancock County’s boys team finished fifth in the 4x200m and 4x400m relays, while the Lady Hornets were sixth in the 4×200 relay. The top finishers for Hancock County included:
- Carolina Jones: 1st in 100m hurdles, 1st in 300m hurdles, 3rd in high jump
- Cooper Jones: 1st in 400m
- Ellen Meserve: 3rd in 800m
- Isabella Ross: 1st in triple jump, 3rd in long jump
OHS: Only sending their boys’ team, the Red Devils varsity squad was fifth with a score of 54.5, narrowly beating Daviess County by 1.5 points. In the 4x100m relay, the Panthers were fourth. The top finishers for Owensboro included:
- Kingston Dillard: 2nd in 100m
- Ayden Fountain: 3rd in 110m hurdles
- Landon Clark: 4th in 300m hurdles
- Cameron Day: 4th in high jump
- Mikai Kindle: 5th in long jump
OCHS: Owensboro Catholic finished fourth in both the girls’ and boys’ competitions with scores of 73 and 68. The Lady Aces won the 4×400 relay and were third in both the 4x100m and 4x200m relays, while the Aces won the 4x200m relay and were second in the 4x400m relay and third in the 4x100m relay. The top finishers for Owensboro Catholic included:
