A local mother-and-son team is bringing a mix of catering, desserts, and interactive entertainment to events across Owensboro and the surrounding region through two new mobile businesses.
Cindy Mills and her son, Garett Horsley, recently launched GoGo Goodiez and Bucket Vision Kentucky, combining their entrepreneurial efforts while balancing full-time careers at Owensboro Health and Helena Agri-Enterprises.
The two businesses offer different services but often work together at community events.
GoGo Goodiez provides catering and dessert options ranging from charcuterie boards, charcuterie cups, and grazing carts to Mexican buffets and appetizers. Mills is also expanding into custom charcuterie displays shaped as numbers and letters for special occasions. The business recently added an ice cream cart and plans to offer ice cream nachos and seasonal hot chocolate bars.
Bucket Vision Kentucky, operated by Horsley, features a mobile basketball shooting trailer and a mobile stage designed for festivals, school events, fundraisers, and community gatherings.
The pair have already participated in several local events, including activities at the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden and McLean County Middle School. Horsley said his mobile stage is set to become a regular fixture at the Fam Jam on 2nd Street series this season, and additional partnerships are in the works.
For Horsley, the business partnership is rooted in a lifelong bond with his mother.
“Helping her in the flower bed growing up was always my job,” Horsley said. “She inspired my love for plants, and I still carry that love today. Linking back up like this has been a dream for both of us.”
The collaboration extends beyond business. Whether Mills is helping prepare for one of Horsley’s events or Horsley is assisting with catering duties, the two frequently support one another behind the scenes.
“She’s always there for me, and I’m always there for her,” Horsley said.
Horsley said the goal is to create experiences that bring people together while supporting community events throughout the region.
The duo plans to continue expanding both businesses and increasing their presence at festivals, fundraisers, school functions, and other community gatherings across western Kentucky.
