Registration is now open for T-ball and Adult Softball with Owensboro Parks & Recreation. The deadline for T-ball is March 4 while the deadline for registering for softball is March 18.
T-ball
Do you have a little one who has been asking to play T-ball? Owensboro Parks & Recreation Department is now taking registrations for its annual Spring T-ball league. This league will be non-competitive with the emphasis on teaching players the fundamentals of how to play and enjoy baseball. The season will consist of 10 regular season games.
The season begins Monday, May 3 and all games will be played on Mondays at Kentucky Legend Fields at Jack C. Fisher Park. Make-up games may vary pending weather and facility use.
The registration fee is $51 plus per child. Divisions: 3-4 year olds & 5-6 year olds.
We are offering a Sibling Discount of $10 per child for each additional sibling registered after the first child who resides in the same household. Each child will receive a team t-shirt, hat, award and swim party at Combest Swimming Pool. (Contingent upon latest COVID-19 restrictions)
There will be a mandatory parent informational meeting Thursday, March 18. Additional meeting dates pending COVID-19 restrictions.
It is recommended you register early for this fun and extremely popular program by calling the parks office or online. The deadline to register is March 4. (If league is canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions, a FULL refund will be issued).
Adult Softball
Hey, batter, batter, swing! The Owensboro Parks & Recreation Department is currently taking registrations for the Spring Adult Softball Leagues. League Nights will bemainly Tuesday & Wednesday or Thursdays, pending registration totals, and will take place at Kentucky Legend Fields at Jack C. Fisher Park. There will be 10 regular season games and a single elimination tournament. The season will begin the week of April 13-15.
Registrations and rosters must be submitted by Thursday, March 18. The registration fee is $360 per team. This includes umpire fees, as well as 15 champion T-Shirts.
Divisions: Men’s Competitive and Coed Competitive.
12 team maximum and minimum 4 team per division.
Minimum age to play is 16 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 must have parental consent.
A mandatory Pre-Season meeting will be held on Monday, March 29.
