The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reported that a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian accident occurred in the 3500 block of Fairview Drive at the intersection of Mallard Landing Loop around 8:47 p.m. Saturday.
The release states a male pedestrian crossed into the path of an SUV that was traveling southbound on Fairview Drive. The pedestrian was transported to Owensboro Regional Health Hospital by AMR where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the SUV was reportedly not injured and alcohol is not believed to be a factor on the driver. DCSO reports toxicology results are pending for the pedestrian whose name has not be released at this time.
