COVID-19 update: 15 cases, 33 recoveries reported for district

A total of 15 more cases of COVID-19 and 33 recoveries were announced Friday for the Green River District, including 10 cases and 17 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (10), Henderson (1), McLean (1), Ohio (2), Webster (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (17), Hancock (1), Henderson (8), Ohio (2), Union (4), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 20,836
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 18,715 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 7
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 867 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 375

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,951 cases, 8,996 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 351 ever hospitalized, 173 deaths
  • Hancock County – 805 cases, 725 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,378 cases, 3,844 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 202 ever hospitalized, 71 deaths
  • McLean County – 842 cases, 768 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 49 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,441 cases, 2,209 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 123 ever hospitalized, 53 deaths
  • Union County – 1,246 cases, 1,143 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 65 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,173 cases, 1,030 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 55 ever hospitalized, 19 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • 1-11 — 768 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,888 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,445 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,297 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,259 cases
  • 50-59 — 3,003 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,497 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,532 cases
  • 80+ — 1,062 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
