COVID-19 update: 1 death, 27 cases, 29 recoveries reported for district

A total of 27 more cases of COVID-19 and 29 new recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 14 cases and 15 recoveries in Daviess County. One coronavirus-related death was reported in Henderson County.

An additional death in Henderson County was reported from the state audit of death certificates.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (14), Hancock (1), Henderson (2), McLean (2), Ohio (1), Union (5), Webster (2)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (15), Hancock (2), Henderson (10), McLean (1), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 21,712
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 19,445 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 8
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 863 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 392

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 10,405 cases, 9,391 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 345 ever hospitalized, 181 deaths
  • Hancock County – 845 cases, 764 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,608 cases, 4,021 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 205 ever hospitalized, 77 deaths
  • McLean County – 865 cases, 787 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 50 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,492 cases, 2,246 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 113 ever hospitalized, 55 deaths
  • Union County – 1,282 cases, 1,172 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 69 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,215 cases, 1,064 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 59 ever hospitalized, 20 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 46.8%
  • Female: 53.2%

  • 1-11 — 811 cases
  • 12-19 — 2,032 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,599 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,468 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,391 cases
  • 50-59 — 3,112 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,569 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,561 cases
  • 80+ — 1,080 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
