June 21, 2:51 p.m. — One person died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle collision with a tree Monday afternoon, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to a release, at approximately 1:21 p.m. OPD responded to the 1500 block of Werner Avenue on a single-vehicle collision with a tree. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
Members of the Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to investigate the collision. Anyone with any information about the incident is encouraged to call OPD at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.
