MFD: Fire results in total loss of home, no injuries reported

A Monday afternoon fire resulted in the total loss of a home in Pleasant Ridge but no injuries were reported. The fire is currently under investigation, according to the Masonville Fire Department.

According to a Facebook post, MFD was dispatched at approximately 2:33 to the report of a residential structure fire at the intersection of Boling Road and US 231.

“Masonville Chief 404 arrived to find a single-story house, heavily involved with fire. A second alarm was immediately requested by MFD,” according to the post.

Firefighters battled the fire for approximately two hours, according to the post.

MFD was assisted by Hartford Fire Department, Utica Fire Department, Ohio County EMS and Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.
