ROMP 2023 initial lineup announced, tickets on sale now

The initial lineup for ROMP 2023 has been announced, with headliners including Old Crow Medicine Show along with Bluegrass Hall of Famers Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Sam Bush, and Peter Rowan. Grammy-winning Rhonda Vincent will also return for the 20th annual ROMP Festival. 

The festival is set for June 21-24 at Yellow Creek Park. More artists will be announced soon.  

Other acts announced in the initial lineup are Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, a new band playing roots music, along with The Infamous Stringdusters, a progressive acoustic/bluegrass group. Rounding out the initial lineup is Tuba Skinny, Henhouse Prowlers, Kitchen Dwellers, Slocan Ramblers, John R. Miller, Bill & The Belles, Stillhouse Junkies, Damn Tall Buildings, and Armchair Boogie. 

Produced by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, the four-day music festival celebrates bluegrass and roots music, local artists, and farm-to-table food vendors. ROMP the primary fundraising event for the Hall of Fame, which is a nonprofit organization.

“ROMP Festival is the Hall of Fame’s signature event and an opportunity for our community to host people from around the country who make the pilgrimage to the Bluegrass Music Capital of the World,” said Chris Joslin, Executive Director of the Hall of Fame. “Fans sense there is something unique about bluegrass music in Owensboro, and this will be on full display in June. This is our 20th year, and that kind of longevity and innovation is something to celebrate.”

Presale tickets are available now here, and prices will increase on December 27.  Four-day tickets are currently available at the discounted rate of $165. VIP tickets are available for $415 and include catered meals, air-conditioned restrooms, and prime stage views. On-site tent and RV camping passes are also available. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
