Country music singer Chris Janson will headline the music festival lineup at BBQ & Barrels this May, officials announced.
This is Janson’s second performance in Owensboro after playing a concert at the Owensboro Convention Center in 2019. Janson is bringing Campbellsville artist Hannah Ellis to join his set.
The concert is free to the public and will be held at the Owensboro Convention Center front lawn on May 11.
The festival will happen both days during BBQ & Barrels. Headlining May 10 will be Fan Halen, Van Halen cover band, along with August Christopher. The City of Owensboro said other local bands will be playing along the convention center lawn and the Daviess County Courthouse lawn.
Janson released his newest album ‘The Outlaw Side of Me’ in October. The album was led by ‘All I Need Is You’ which landed at 27 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
