The Public Life Foundation of Owensboro will convene a community meeting launching its Early Childhood Education Initiative. The meeting will be held in the RiverWalk Room at Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown Waterfront at noon on Nov. 9.

This initiative, shaped by a number of community organizations and individuals, aims to expand access to early childhood learning and education in Daviess County for low-income families. To jumpstart this project, the Public Life Foundation has pledged up to $4 million over the next decade to ensure that our most vulnerable citizens will have a better chance to thrive as children and succeed throughout their lives.

At the meeting, attendees will be given an overview of the process PLFO has used to build this initiative to date, as well as get a glimpse of where the initiative may be headed in the future.

The highlight of the meeting will be the first public presentations of three potential projects. These projects were developed by three teams committed to improving the lives of our children and their families. One or more of these projects will be launched as pilot programs in Owensboro/Daviess County in 2019.
