Audubon Elementary School is hosting a Cardboard Challenge event on Tuesday, Jan. 15, in the school cafeteria. AES is located at 300 Worthington Road.

Boys and their mothers, aunts, grandmothers, and other female role models will be challenged to test their engineering skills with a series of “cardboard construction” challenges for this event.

The evening begins with dinner at 5:30 p.m. The challenge theme will be announced and everyone will start work on their 3-D creations at 6 p.m.

Event organizer Kelly May, who serves as coordinator of the West Family Resource Center, said the event is designed to promote meaningful interactions and create shared memories for boys and the positive female role models in their lives. “We will provide the theme and materials needed for the challenge, and we are looking forward to seeing our Audubon boys working with the women in their lives as they brainstorm ideas and find solutions to the Cardboard Challenge. We expect a lot of laughter and I can’t wait to see the results of these amazing and creative collaborations!”
