The newly introduced OCTC Spirit Check Card issued through German American Bank will allows the community to give back to the OCTC Foundation, Inc. and benefit students by making everyday purchases.
The OCTC Foundation Spirit Check Card is available to any new or existing German American customer. Two cents of every purchase will go directly to the OCTC Foundation and will directly impact OCTC students.
“This was an opportunity we didn’t want to pass up” said Mike Rodgers, OCTC Foundation Director and Chief Institutional Officer for OCTC. “This card will not only enhance the level of pride at OCTC, it will directly benefit students, two cents from each purchase adds up quickly will have an unbelievable impact on opportunities for students.”
Cardholders will be able to use their OCTC Foundation Spirit Card anywhere Visa cards are accepted. This offer is only the second Spirit Card available to any school in Owensboro. An Owensboro Red Devils Spirit Card was unveiled in 2019.
“German American Bank is excited to welcome the OCTC Foundation into our School Spirit Card Program, ” said Amy Jackson, German American Bank Regional President. “By the end of 2020, we estimate a total of around $43,000 will be donated to the schools participating in the School Spirit Card Program throughout our German American Bank footprint.”
