Bluegrass Youth Brass will perform Christmas music today at 1 p.m. in Smothers Park in front of the Christmas tree. The concert is free and open to the public. (Bring a chair, blanket, warm drink and a mask.)

The group is composed of current and former students of Owensboro musician and teacher, Jamie Dixon. She says her students want to bring Christmas to people, even though we are living in a strange and unpredictable time. They love to play and she loves to teach.

Bluegrass Youth Brass members are comprised of students from Lindsey Wilson College, Kentucky Wesleyan College, University of Kentucky, Apollo High School, Daviess County High School, Owensboro High School, Grace Christian Academy, Heritage Christian School, Eastview Elementary School and Daviess County Middle School.
