Right now, 73 kids are waiting for their wishes to come true in western Kentucky, and we need the support of the Owensboro community to grant them!

(Owensboro, KY) March 20, 2023 – For 40 years, Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana has been creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Since our founding in 1983, we’ve granted more than 19,000 wishes for kids like Noah from Owensboro who wished to go to Hollywood. This summer, we will grant our 20,000th wish! You can be a light of hope for kids with critical illnesses in our community by visiting oki.wish.org/40 to donate $40 now or join the Wishmakers Club and donate $40 monthly.

Right now, we are hyper-focused on furthering our mission in Owensboro and the surrounding communities. 73 kids are waiting for their wishes to come true in western Kentucky, and we need the support of the Owensboro community to grant them! We are looking for volunteers, corporate partners, fundraising support, community members to join our committees, etc.

Make-A-Wish brings the entire community together to rally around wish kids; from medical providers who introduce children to the idea of a life-changing wish to volunteers who walk alongside children and their families in their medical journey and donors and corporate partners who offer their passion and resources to make customized wish experiences possible.

Wishes deliver hope, strength, and joy to kids and families when they need it most. When you help grant a wish, you restore hope for a child and improve their mental well-being. You empower them to reclaim their childhood and experience transformative joy.

Granting wishes is something we all have the power to do. To learn more about our mission and get involved, contact Make-A-Wish western Kentucky Senior Advancement Officer Lisa Reeves at [email protected].
