Classical Education: What it is and why it is important for students

Come hear “Why Classical Education is Important for Students and the Goals of Classical Education” at the Highlands Latin School Owensboro Open House, on Sunday, April 30th at 2:00pm at Lewis Lane Baptist Church (2600 Lewis Lane).

Michelle Tefertiller, the Kentucky Highlands Latin School representative, will be discussing classical education: what it is, the benefits to students, and the importance of Latin as part of the curriculum. School tours and displays of curriculum by grades will also be available.

Highlands Latin School Owensboro, starting Fall 2023, will be a model (trademark) school of the Highlands Latin School in Louisville that has existed for over 20 years and has excelled in both Academics and Christian Education. Highlands Latin School uses the Memoria Press Classical Christian Curriculum which has proven successful in private schools and homeschoolers across the country.

Highlands Latin School Owensboro will start Fall 2023 with kindergarten through 3rd grade with the intention of adding a grade each year. It will be a 4-day school (Tuesday through Friday from 8:00am-3:00pm) and will be located at Lewis Lane Baptist Church.
