Beshear extends curfew for restaurants and bars

Gov. Andy Beshear on Thursday said he is extending the curfew for bars and restaurants by one hour, starting Friday. Businesses can now serve food and drinks until 12 a.m. and can stay open until 1 a.m.

The maximum capacity must remain at 60 percent, and seat rules still apply.

“We cannot have people crowding around bars, or in restaurants around bars,” Beshear said. “We do have to keep people separated. We do need to keep people wearing masks.”

Also on Thursday, said he expects to open COVID-19 vaccinations to all Kentuckians age 16 and older by April 12. He said beginning Monday, Group 1C will expand to include anyone age 50 and over.
