Investigators from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office have obtained a juvenile petition and accompanying custody order charging a 17-year-old juvenile with two counts of murder and one count of second-degree assault in relation to the deaths of Amarius Winstead, 16, and Jasper Brown, 18, and the injury of 19-year-old Tyler Glover.
Kentucky statutes prohibit the release of the juvenile‘s identity pending adjudication in Juvenile Court, remanding him to Circuit Court as an adult. Apprehension of the juvenile is still being sought.
DCSO Chief Deputy Major Barry Smith said information obtained from the public has been invaluable in bringing the investigation to this point. The DCSO continues to solicit any information relevant to this case.
