State-wide election results

Listed below are the results from Tuesday’s election. Kentuckians voted for governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state auditor, treasurer and agriculture commissioner.

Daniel Cameron (R) was elected state attorney general, making him the first African-American attorney general in Kentucky’s history and the first Republican to the position in more than 70 years. He defeated Greg Stumbo (D).

Allison Ball (R) won a second term as state treasurer, winning the most votes of any candidate on the ballot. She easily defeated Michael Bowman (D).

Mike Harmon (R) was re-elected as state auditor, beating Sheri Donahue (D) by approximately 14 percent of the vote.

Ryan Quarles (R) won another term as state agriculture commissioner after receiving more votes than Robert Conway (D) and Josh Gilpin (L).

Michael Adams (R) was voted secretary of state after beating Heather French Henry (D). He replaces Alison Lundergan Grimes, who has served two terms as secretary of state.
