President Donald Trump declared a national emergency Friday in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Trump said the move would free up billions of dollars that would allow state and local governments to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trump also said the decision includes waiving federal regulations and laws to give hospitals flexibility in treating patients.

The President said he was working with private sector companies to develop drive-through testing facilities across the country.
