COVID-19 update: 0 cases, 3 recoveries reported for area

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported for the Green River District on Monday, while three more recoveries from the virus were confirmed.

Recoveries were in Hancock (1) and Henderson (2) counties.

Of the 723 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 589 (81%) have now recovered and 86 (12%) have required hospitalization. There are nine patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 12 deaths — seven in Daviess County, four in Henderson County, and one in McLean County.

The county totals are:

  • Daviess County – 339 cases, 285 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 34 ever hospitalized, 7 deaths
  • Hancock County – 9 cases, 8 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 1 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 121 cases, 99 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 28 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • McLean County – 25 cases, 23 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 180 cases, 132 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 11 ever hospitalized
  • Union County – 14 cases, 9 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 1 ever hospitalized
  • Webster County – 35 cases, 33 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 7 ever hospitalized

Patients range in age from 7 months-93 years old, with an average age of 43. To date, 53.2% of patients have been male and 46.8% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • <1 — 2 cases
  • 1-11 — 13 cases
  • 12-19 — 28 cases
  • 20-29 — 128 cases
  • 30-39 — 162 cases
  • 40-49 — 153 cases
  • 50-59 — 104 cases
  • 60-69 — 74 cases
  • 70-79 — 32 cases
  • 80+ — 23 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
