COVID-19 update: 1 death, 264 cases, 192 recoveries reported for district

A total of 264 more cases of COVID-19 and 192 recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 113 cases and 98 recoveries in Daviess County. One coronavirus-related deaths was reported in Webster County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (113), Hancock (14), Henderson (79), McLean (10), Ohio (24), Union (12), Webster (12)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (98), Hancock (8), Henderson (29), McLean (12), Ohio (25), Union (7), Webster (13)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 16,289
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 12,014 (74%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 54
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 721 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 273

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 7,328 cases, 5,448 recovered, 26 current hospitalizations, 278 ever hospitalized, 123 deaths
  • Hancock County – 621 cases, 439 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,643 cases, 2,647 recovered, 12 current hospitalizations, 179 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 689 cases, 515 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 44 ever hospitalized, 25 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,981 cases, 1,430 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 98 ever hospitalized, 35 deaths
  • Union County – 1,065 cases, 858 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Webster County – 962 cases, 677 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 50 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.4%
  • Female: 54.6%

  • <1 — 67 cases
  • 1-11 — 545 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,358 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,677 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,555 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,492 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,329 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,014 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,306 cases
  • 80+ — 946 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
