COVID-19 update: 3 deaths, 177 cases, 325 recoveries reported for district

A total of 177 more cases of COVID-19 and 325 recoveries were announced Saturday for the Green River District, including 100 cases and 166 recoveries in Daviess County. Three coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (100), Hancock (14), Henderson (23), McLean (11), Ohio (13), Union (8), Webster (8)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (166), Hancock (13), Henderson (57), McLean (8), Ohio (45), Union (15), Webster (21)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 16,832
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 12,816 (76%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 54
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 734 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 284

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 7,633 cases, 5,736 recovered, 25 current hospitalizations, 280 ever hospitalized, 130 deaths
  • Hancock County – 654 cases, 476 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,728 cases, 2,792 recovered, 15 current hospitalizations, 186 ever hospitalized, 53 deaths
  • McLean County – 711 cases, 545 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 46 ever hospitalized, 25 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,024 cases, 1,544 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 99 ever hospitalized, 37 deaths
  • Union County – 1,101 cases, 891 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Webster County – 981 cases, 732 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 51 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 45.6%
  • Female: 54.4%

  • <1 — 70 cases
  • 1-11 — 566 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,413 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,769 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,643 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,584 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,410 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,072 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,346 cases
  • 80+ — 959 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
