COVID-19 update: 5 deaths, 131 cases, 227 recoveries reported for district

A total of 131 more cases of COVID-19 and 227 recoveries were announced Friday for the Green River District, including 73 cases and 92 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (3), Henderson (1) and Ohio (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (73), Hancock (5), Henderson (18), McLean (4), Ohio (15), Union (11), Webster (5)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (92), Hancock (11), Henderson (45), McLean (11), Ohio (44), Union (6), Webster (18)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 16,655
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 12,491 (75%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 57
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 731 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 281

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 7,533 cases, 5,670 recovered, 26 current hospitalizations, 280 ever hospitalized, 127 deaths
  • Hancock County – 640 cases, 463 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,705 cases, 2,735 recovered, 15 current hospitalizations, 185 ever hospitalized, 53 deaths
  • McLean County – 700 cases, 537 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 44 ever hospitalized, 25 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,011 cases, 1,499 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 99 ever hospitalized, 37 deaths
  • Union County – 1,093 cases, 876 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Webster County – 973 cases, 711 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 51 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 45.5%
  • Female: 54.5%

  • <1 — 69 cases
  • 1-11 — 556 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,389 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,741 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,623 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,556 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,379 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,053 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,333 cases
  • 80+ — 956 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
