COVID-19 update: 5 deaths, 182 cases, 191 recoveries reported for district

A total of 182 more cases of COVID-19 and 191 recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 105 cases and 89 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (1), Henderson (1), Ohio (2) and Webster (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (105), Hancock (13), Henderson (24), McLean (9), Ohio (15), Union (10), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (89), Hancock (9), Henderson (36), McLean (9), Ohio (21), Union (14), Webster (13)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 17,363
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 13,214 (76%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 53
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 747 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 299

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 7,957 cases, 6,022 recovered, 30 current hospitalizations, 289 ever hospitalized, 134 deaths
  • Hancock County – 676 cases, 496 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,786 cases, 2,878 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 187 ever hospitalized, 56 deaths
  • McLean County – 733 cases, 562 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 46 ever hospitalized, 25 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,082 cases, 1,583 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 101 ever hospitalized, 44 deaths
  • Union County – 1,127 cases, 917 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,002 cases, 756 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 51 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 45.8%
  • Female: 54.2%

  • <1 — 72 cases
  • 1-11 — 591 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,466 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,852 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,748 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,662 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,501 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,126 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,371 cases
  • 80+ — 974 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
